Indian National Junior Science Olympiad (INJSO) is the 2nd Stage of the Junior Science Olympiad program.

Only the Qualified Students of NSEJS can Appear in this Examination. It is organized by Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE).

The best-performing students from the NSEJS (approximately 300 Nationwide) qualify for the second stage - the Indian National Jr. Science Olympiad (INJSO), conducted by HBCSE.

The top 35 students from the INJSO are selected for Stage-3 Orientation-cum-Selection Camp in Junior Science Olympiad held at HBCSE Mumbai.

In the event, there is a tie for the last position; all students with the same marks at this last position will qualify for OCSC in Junior Science. There will be no other criterion or provision for Selection to OCSC (Orientation-cum-Selection Camp)
